Russia claims strikes on Ukrainian rail hub and vessels as drones hit Russian ports

Russia's Ministry of Defence announced that its forces bombed a railway station in the Danube port city of Izmail, which it said handled military supplies and fuel for Ukrainian forces, and also struck two tugboats near Mykolaiv that were escorting cargo vessels carrying weapons. On the same day, Ukrainian drones triggered a fire at the major Baltic Sea oil export terminal of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region, though regional governor Alexander Drozdenko reported the blaze was extinguished without injuries.

Drone debris also damaged a warehouse wall belonging to online retailer Wildberries northwest of Moscow, with no reported casualties. Over 50 drones were reportedly shot down overnight in the area surrounding St Petersburg, leading Russia's civil aviation authority to temporarily limit flights at Moscow-area airports. In response, Latvia's armed forces intercepted a drone that entered its airspace, and Finland imposed temporary maritime restrictions in parts of the Baltic Sea as a precaution.
