Security forces eliminate five militants in Washuk, Balochistan operation

Security forces killed five terrorists and injured four others linked to Fitna al Hindustan during an intelligence-based raid in Washuk, Balochistan.

In an intelligence-driven operation in Washuk district of Balochistan, security forces killed five terrorists and wounded four, all identified as members of Fitna al Hindustan, a group the state links to Indian involvement. The assault, conducted under Operation Raddul Fitna 3, employed advanced weaponry and resulted in the seizure of arms and ammunition. President Asif Ali Zardari issued a statement on X commending the forces and reaffirming a resolve to thwart terrorist conspiracies and their foreign patrons.

This action adds to a recent wave of counter-terrorism operations in the province, such as the killing of ten militants in Barkhan and multiple engagements in Chagai, Shaban, Awaran, Mastung and other areas. Balochistan has been labeled the most affected province by terrorism, with attack numbers rising from 83 in July to 89 in August, according to PICSS. Authorities continue to emphasize their determination to eradicate terrorism from the region.
