Senator Moreno blasts Fauci as Democrats' pandemic hero after hearing

Sen. Bernie Moreno of Ohio used a primetime interview to reiterate his condemnation of Dr. Anthony Fauci after the former top health official declined to respond to questions at a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing. Moreno described Fauci’s pandemic strategy as a quest for control, labeling him the Democrats' "hero" and warning that such tactics threaten American freedoms. He pointed to more than 1,000 pages of internal notes disclosed by Sen. Rand Paul that allegedly show Fauci privately expressed views at odds with his public statements.

Moreno also highlighted that Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced a state probe following Fauci’s Fifth Amendment invocation, and he urged Ohio officials to follow suit. The senator suggested the former White House medical adviser should face criminal charges, noting that a presidential pardon does not preclude state investigations. The remarks came as Fauci’s legal team declined to comment.
