Six golfers earn automatic spots on International Team for 2026 Presidents Cup

Six players have automatically qualified for the International side of the 2026 Presidents Cup, joining veteran Adam Scott.

International Team captain Geoff Ogilvy announced that six golfers have secured automatic berths for the 2026 Presidents Cup. The qualifiers are South Korea’s Si Woo Kim, Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama, New Zealand’s Ryan Fox, South Korea’s Tom Kim, Australia’s Min Woo Lee and veteran Adam Scott, who matches Phil Mickelson’s record with twelve total appearances. Scott, now 46, has been an automatic qualifier eleven times, missing only 2009 when he was a captain’s pick.

Matsuyama is heading to his seventh Cup, while Fox earned his spot after winning the British Open at Royal Birkdale. The remaining six spots will be filled by Ogilvy’s picks on Tuesday, with the competition slated for Sept. 24-27.
