South Korea's women's volleyball squad reached the semifinals of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games after a 3-0 victory over Kazakhstan at Park Arena Komaki, just north of Nagoya. The sets ended 26-24, 27-25 and 25-21, with the first two requiring deuce points before the Koreans secured the lead. Yuk Seo-young topped the scoring chart with 20 points, including a block and two aces, while middle blocker Jung Ho-young contributed 10 points and Lee Da-hyeon added nine.
Setter Kim Da-in's blocks helped regain momentum in the opening set, and captain Kang So-hwi sealed it with a decisive spike. This marks South Korea's first appearance in the women's volleyball semifinals at the Asian Games since the 2018 edition in Indonesia. The semifinal opponent will be determined on Monday when Japan and Chinese Taipei play the same venue.
