TCU football player arrested after teammate suffers brain bleed in locker-room assault

A Tarrant County judge issued an arrest warrant charging Jacob Fields with aggravated assault after he allegedly struck teammate Dozie Noble Ezukanma in the locker room of the Walsh Physical Performance Complex in Fort Worth. Eyewitnesses said Fields punched Ezukanma in the forehead and kicked him while he was on the floor, leading to a brain bleed. Fields surrendered to police on Sunday, posted a $50,000 bond, and was released the same day.
TCU suspended him on Aug. 13 and dismissed him two days later, and he is no longer enrolled at the university. The school emphasized student safety and declined further comment while the case proceeds through the legal system. Fields’ attorney and agent have issued statements urging the public to let the legal process run its course.
