Three family members found dead in San Diego home after neighbor hears loud bangs

Early Wednesday morning, San Diego police were dispatched to a $1 million home on Boulder Lake Avenue in the Lake Murray neighborhood after a neighbor, who had been given a key to look after the house, reported that the family had not left for school and that she had heard loud bangs the night before. Upon entering, she discovered the husband and wife deceased in one bedroom and their 11-year-old daughter dead in a separate room.

The San Diego Police Department confirmed a firearm was involved and are investigating the incident as a potential murder-suicide, though they have not released information about who may have fired the weapon or the circumstances leading up to the deaths.
