Tom Pelphrey Wins First Emmy for Supporting Role in ‘Task’

Tom Pelphrey was honored with his first Emmy, winning the category of best supporting actor in a drama series for his role as Robbie Prendergrast on ‘Task’ Season 1. During his acceptance speech, he thanked God for his life and sobriety, as well as his family and friends for their ongoing support. He acknowledged HBO executives and co-stars, specifically naming Mark Ruffalo, and praised the opportunity the role provided.

Pelphrey also dedicated the award to his fiancée Kaley Cuoco, referring to their daughter Matilda and their unborn daughter, calling his family the "crown jewel" of his life. The win came over nominees Patrick Ball, Shawn Hatosy, Gerran Howell, Billy Crudup, Jack Lowden and Carlos-Manuel Vesga, while co-star Mark Ruffalo was nominated for lead actor. ‘Task’ received additional nominations for writing, directing and other categories.
