Trump to embark on multi-state tour ahead of midterm elections
Donald Trump plans visits to at least ten states in the final weeks before the midterms, targeting key battlegrounds and competitive Republican-leaning states.
In the closing phase of the midterm campaign, Donald Trump is set to travel to a minimum of ten states, touching nearly every pivotal battleground except Maine, where Senator Susan Collins is defending a close Senate seat. The schedule includes traditional swing states such as Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia, as well as Republican-leaning but competitive states like Texas, Iowa, Alaska, Ohio, Kansas, Montana and Pennsylvania.
Trump will make repeat stops in Texas, Ohio and Georgia, and a two-week stretch will see him move from Washington to Montana, Alaska, Las Vegas, Arizona and Texas before returning to the White House. The tour is designed to energize the Republican base, promote his policy record, and support candidates in tight Senate, House and gubernatorial contests. The White House did not respond to a request for comment.
Why it matters
Trump's extensive travel could influence voter turnout and shape outcomes in several closely contested races.
