Truth Social sells $100,000 API access to early Trump posts
Truth Social has signed more than ten customers for its $100,000 Truth API, which delivers real-time Trump posts shortly after launch.
Trump Media's Truth Social introduced a paid API called Truth API in July, charging $100,000 for early, real-time delivery of Donald Trump's posts. Interim chief executive Kevin McGurn said more than ten customers have signed up, with several onboarded before the official August 1 launch. The firm presented the API as a high-margin, recurring revenue source, even as its second-quarter report showed a $238.1 million net loss, mainly from non-cash digital-asset losses, and revenue of $1.7 million, up from $0.9 million a year earlier.
McGurn emphasized a shift toward cost-cutting and a leaner operating model. Critics, led by Senator Mark Warner, argued the service could create conflicts of interest, labeling it an "unacceptable pathway for corruption," a charge the company dismissed as factually inaccurate.
