A fresh barrage of Russian strikes struck Ukraine during the night, with the capital Kiev suffering the most severe casualties: two people were killed and eight were injured. The Russian defence ministry said the attacks hit logistical centres, port facilities, drone storage sites and military structures, emphasizing hits on data-centre and telecommunications installations. Other regions such as Odesa, Sumy and Kharkiv also experienced bombardment, though casualty figures were only provided for Kiev.
Ukrainian authorities have not released an official assessment of the damage to the cited infrastructure. The raid follows a pattern of intensified Russian targeting of critical civilian and military assets across the country.
