Two Palestinians killed in separate Israeli attacks in West Bank and Gaza

A 41-year-old Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers at the Anab checkpoint near Tulkarem, while another Palestinian died from Israeli shelling near Khan Younis in Gaza.

Israeli forces opened fire on Raafat Khairi Ahmed Abu Khalil, 41, at the Anab checkpoint east of Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank, killing him, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. In a separate incident, a Palestinian was killed by Israeli artillery northwest of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The killings come amid a recent surge of Israeli strikes across Gaza despite a ceasefire that began last October.
