CROSS-SPECTRUMBROAD COVERAGE

Ukraine and Russia exchange intensified drone and missile strikes across multiple fronts

Ukrainian forces launched a large wave of drones that Russian defenses reported downing in the hundreds, while Russia said it intercepted almost 800 unmanned aircraft heading toward Moscow. Russia’s defence ministry said it shot down 457 Ukrainian drones overnight and carried out missile strikes that hit Kyiv, killing at least one person and wounding several, and also struck other locations in the Kyiv region, the Krasnodar port town of Yeysk (where two children were killed) and the Belgorod and Bryansk provinces.

Ukrainian officials confirmed a missile strike on the Progress Rocket and Space Center in Samara, a Roscosmos facility that produces Soyuz rockets for Russia’s satellite internet constellation. Both sides have reported civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure in the recent exchanges.
