Ukraine launches over 1,000 drones at Russia, striking Moscow and killing two
Ukrainian forces deployed more than 1,000 drones against Russia overnight, with hundreds reaching Moscow, killing two civilians and injuring 20.
Ukrainian forces unleashed a massive drone offensive, firing more than 1,000 unmanned aircraft at Russian territory, including a substantial wave aimed at Moscow. The city’s mayor labeled the assault the biggest drone attack the capital has ever faced, noting damage to an oil refinery and a residential building. Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported that the strikes resulted in two civilian deaths—a 74-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman—and wounded 20 people throughout the Moscow region.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on social media that the operation combined various missiles with Ukraine’s own Flamingo and Pelican drones to strike oil and logistics facilities. The attacks occurred as Russia concluded the final day of its parliamentary elections. No further casualties were reported beyond those.
