Ukrainian long-range drones reportedly attacked two manufacturing facilities deep inside Russia on Sept. 12. In Tolyatti, Samara Oblast, a rubber plant that provides components for solid-rocket-fuel was hit, igniting a fire captured in resident videos that also showed a downed drone damaging a nearby residential building. In Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, a car-manufacturing plant and an adjacent airfield were set ablaze, with NASA’s FIRMS satellite data confirming multiple hotspots.
Telegram monitoring channels ExileNova+ and Supernova+ first reported the incidents, and the Ukrainian General Staff had previously confirmed a similar strike on the same Tolyatti plant in June. No comment has been received from Ukraine’s military, and independent verification remains limited. The strikes are part of Kyiv’s broader drone campaign aimed at disrupting Russian industrial output that supports its war effort.
