Ukrainian drones strike Sochi and nearby Sirius, igniting oil depot blaze

Overnight, Ukrainian unmanned aircraft targeted the Black Sea resort of Sochi and the adjacent town of Sirius, sparking a fire at an oil depot whose ownership is said to be Rosneft-Kubanneftprodukt in the Adler district. Preliminary one outlet indicated that no casualties occurred, although the explosions shattered windows in multiple homes and other structures. Thick black smoke was observed over the city.

Telegram outlets Exilenova+ and Supernova+ alleged that the drones also struck S-300 or S-400 surface-to-air missile batteries and other sites such as the Sterlitamak petrochemical plant in Bashkortostan and the Avangard defence enterprise, but local authorities and the Defense Ministry did not verify those claims. Earlier this spring, Ukrainian forces repeatedly hit the Krasnodar Krai city of Tuapse, causing oil spills and environmental damage. The recent attacks prompted an air-raid alert in the region.
