USR reaffirmed its stance of not entering a governing coalition with PSD during a Wednesday press briefing, shortly after the president announced consultations with all parliamentary parties to select a new prime minister. Radu Miruță, serving as interim minister of Defence and Transport, criticized PSD for abandoning prior coalition commitments and lacking the legitimacy to demand a governing role. He advocated for an alternating system of power and warned against PSD's alleged opportunism.

Meanwhile, UDMR reiterated its refusal to ally with extremist forces or PSD, and AUR's leader George Simion suggested early elections as a solution, though he hinted at possible openness to a coalition with Sorin Grindeanu's faction.
