Vox leader calls Ceuta migrant transfers horrifying and urges swift expulsions

Santiago Abascal, president of Vox, condemned the images of migrants being transferred from the Trampolín and Benítez beach camps to a new settlement at Ceuta's port, calling the footage "absolutely dantesque" and describing it as a "human avalanche". He insisted that the newcomers should be returned to Spain immediately, accusing Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez of obstructing Morocco's willingness to accept irregular migrants and children.

Abascal claimed that Ceuta's residents live in fear and urged mayor Juan Jesús Vivas to accept a coalition with Vox, abandoning agreements with the Movimiento por la Dignidad y la Ciudadanía and unaffiliated deputies. He noted that a broad majority of the People's Party and Vox in the Ceuta Assembly supports this stance. The leader also referenced a controversial apartment purchase by the Community of Madrid, saying any illegality should be taken to court but he would not waste time on it, focusing instead on the situation in Ceuta.
