Yemen conflict pushes nearly 86,000 people from their homes

The International Organisation for Migration says renewed fighting between Yemen's government forces and Houthi rebels has displaced nearly 86,000 people, many of whom have been forced to flee repeatedly with little belongings. The agency notes that families are making second or third flights as the conflict hampers the delivery of life‑saving aid. IOM Director General Amy Pope highlighted the deep poverty driving these movements and urged unrestricted humanitarian access and greater international assistance. Earlier reports had documented more than 46,000 displaced since the start of the renewed hostilities.
