Young AI Billionaires Snap Up Luxury Homes Amid Explosive Market Growth

A wave of AI-driven billionaires in their 20s and 30s is buying multimillion-dollar properties across California as the sector’s valuation soars.

The artificial-intelligence boom has produced a cohort of billionaires barely old enough to rent a car, many of whom are splurging on lavish California homes. One outlet's reports over 80 AI-rich individuals holding $2.9 trillion collectively, with 45 newcomers added in the last year. ScaleAI co-founder Lucy Guo, now worth about $1.3 billion, purchased a $30 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills and maintains a condo in Miami.

Former OpenAI researcher Leopold Aschenbrenner, whose fund once managed $45 billion in assets, bought a $20 million historic property in San Francisco’s Nob Hill district. Other AI entrepreneurs such as Steven Hao of Cognition AI and Aravind Srinivas of Perplexity have reached billionaire status but have not disclosed major real-estate deals. Real-estate broker Alexander Fromm Lurie observes that the speed of valuation growth has shifted wealth to a younger demographic, fueling a surge in high-end purchases across the Bay Area and Los Angeles.
