Around 30 migrants land on small boat at Samphire Beach before moving toward Folkestone

Around 30 migrants disembarked from a small craft on Samphire Beach in Kent just before noon, moving along the shingle toward Folkestone while some covered their faces with hoods or masks. An eyewitness reported police arriving and attempting to trace the individuals before eventually walking back toward Dover. The incident followed a larger arrival earlier that morning, when a boat carrying 51 migrants was intercepted in Dover after more than 30 hours at sea; British rescue vessels transferred them to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, which handed them to Border Security Command.

The government emphasized that Border Security Command continuously monitors and processes every small-boat arrival. Far-right activist Danny "Tommo" Thomas had previously livestreamed the Dover landing, noting the migrants had declined French coastguard assistance.
