Asia's Top 15 Fastest-Growing Economies Projected for 2026

The Asian Development Bank forecasts that 15 Asian economies will post the strongest real-GDP growth in 2026, led by Taiwan at 11.0%.

The Asian Development Bank projects that developing economies across Asia and the Pacific will achieve a collective real-GDP growth of 5.0% in 2026. Taiwan is forecast to lead with an 11.0% expansion, driven by AI investment and strong semiconductor demand from the United States. Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam follow with 8.9% and 7.8% growth respectively, the latter supported by manufacturing, exports and domestic consumption.

Central and South Asian nations—including Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India, Bhutan, Georgia and Turkmenistan—are each expected to grow between 6.3% and 7.0%, buoyed by investment and regional trade ties. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia are projected to grow between 4.9% and 5.2%, anchored by domestic demand and services activity. The outlook remains vulnerable to rising energy costs, geopolitical strains, tighter financial conditions and potential climate impacts such as El Niño.
