Bhandari claimed the demonstrators were attempting to pressure the Supreme Court, which is hearing a case involving the Election Commission’s chief Gyanesh Kumar, but said the court’s decision would be unaffected by street actions.
He also alleged that “global international forces” were collaborating with Rahul Gandhi to destabilize the country. The protest, organized by the INDIA bloc, targeted the Election Commissioner and concluded with the detention of several participants, including the Gandhi family members.
