BN leaders report RM9.25 million raised for Najib and call for unified Indian-community voice

Barisan Nasional chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi disclosed that a fundraising effort has secured RM9.25 million toward the payment of Najib Abdul Razak's SRC International fine, a prerequisite for his house arrest. He emphasized that the sum is insufficient to reach the RM50 million goal established by the Appeal Board and urged supporters to increase donations. In the same press conference, Zahid addressed Indian-based BN affiliates, urging them and the MIC to avoid internal differences and to advocate collectively for the Indian community under the BN banner. The remarks were made at the opening of Makkal Sakti's annual general meeting, where Zahid also commended the party's president, RS Thanenthiran, for his steadfast support of both BN and Najib.
