DIRECTV rolls out free three-month premium streaming add-ons for new subscribers
New DIRECTV customers can receive three months of HBO Max, Cinemax, Paramount+ with Showtime, STARZ and MGM+ at no charge when they sign up for the Entertainment, Choice or Ultimate packages.
DIRECTV is highlighting the breadth of its service by attaching complimentary premium streaming options to its lower-tier Signature Packages. While all four plans—Entertainment, Choice, Ultimate and Premier—already bundle Disney+ Hulu and one outlet Unlimited, the Premier tier additionally includes HBO Max, Cinemax, Paramount+ with Showtime and STARZ. New subscribers to the Entertainment, Choice or Ultimate packages can claim three months of HBO Max, Cinemax, Paramount+ with Showtime, STARZ and MGM+ without extra cost, a promotion valued at $185.
These add-ons automatically renew at their standard monthly rates unless the customer cancels within the three-month window. In parallel, DIRECTV offers any Signature Package user two free months of Peacock’s Movies Extra Pack plus Peacock for a $19.98 value, also subject to cancellation before the period ends. Both promotions can be combined, delivering over $200 in savings, and are intended to let customers test which premium services best suit their viewing habits. Additional limited-time discounts of $25-$40 off the first month of any Signature Package are also available.
Why it matters
The offers give new TV subscribers a low-cost way to try multiple premium streaming services, potentially influencing future subscription choices.
