Donald Trump Jr. calls on GOP to uphold Charlie Kirk's legacy at convention

Donald Trump Jr. urged Republican convention attendees to remember the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and pledge to continue his mission.

At the Republican National Committee's midterm convention, Donald Trump Jr. addressed the audience on the anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination, calling the slain Turning Point USA founder a symbol of faith, family, freedom and patriotism. He denounced the shooter and criticized left-wing commentators who ridiculed the murder, framing the event as a battle between light and darkness. Trump Jr. pledged that the party would not retreat but would honor Kirk by advancing his cause.

Earlier in the program, a video tribute highlighted Kirk's influence on young conservatives. Turning Point USA vice president Lucas Miles added that while the assassin took Kirk's life, the movement's mission has only grown louder.
