Funeral for five members of Kryvyi Rih family killed in Russian missile strike

According to Ukrainian authorities, an Iskander ballistic missile directly hit a home in Kryvyi Rih on July 30, killing two adults and three children, with five bodies later identified and interred. The funeral took place on Monday at a small town church, where several dozen mourners gathered to honor the victims, described by a colleague as exceptionally kind and helpful. Oksana Stretovych, who heard the explosion, recounted the devastation and expressed anxiety for her husband and her son, military officer Taras, who serves in contested areas.

A local priest noted that the blast shattered windows and reduced the house to flattened earth. On the same day, another Russian strike near the city claimed three lives, among them an eight-year-old child, underscoring the ongoing civilian toll of the conflict.
