Indonesia's defence minister met Singapore's outgoing military attaché and his successor in Jakarta, reaffirming plans to expand bilateral defence ties.
In Jakarta on Oct 5, Indonesia's defence minister met with Singapore's departing Military Expert 7 Melvin and the incoming attaché, Colonel Ang Jeng Kai. He thanked Melvin for his dedication and for fostering transparent dialogue that underpins the two nations' defence partnership. The minister highlighted that the ministry remains open to direct and constructive communication on shared security interests.
He reiterated commitments made earlier in the year, including an updated defence cooperation agreement signed with Singapore's defence minister Chan Chun Sing.
