President Prabowo Leads TNI 81st Anniversary Parade and Unit Inaugurations
President Prabowo arrived by helicopter to preside over the Indonesian National Armed Forces' 81st anniversary ceremony in Jakarta.
On Monday morning, President Prabowo Subianto traveled by presidential helicopter, escorted by two TNI helicopters, to the TNI Headquarters in Jakarta for the 81st anniversary of the armed forces. The ceremony on the PRIMA Field gathered 3,378 personnel from the three service branches, reserve components and Scout groups. Key agenda items included the launch of six new regional military commands, 30 territorial development infantry brigades, 150 infantry battalions, three combat support battalions, as well as marine, air force special forces, training and radar units, with the president appointing their commanders.
High-ranking officials such as Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Speaker Puan Maharani, Police Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto and former presidents Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Joko Widodo were present. Prabowo also presented honorary awards to selected units and soldiers before observing a parade and demonstrations of the TNI's main weapon systems.
