Indonesia Stock Exchange cuts minimum share price to Rp1 starting Sept. 28

The Indonesia Stock Exchange will lower the minimum price per share from Rp50 to Rp1 on Sept. 28, aiming to boost liquidity.

Starting Monday, Sept. 28, the Indonesia Stock Exchange will reduce the minimum trading price per share from Rp50 to Rp1. Jeffrey Hendrik, the IDX President Director, explained that the move is intended to increase market liquidity and enhance price discovery, especially for stocks that have remained at the Rp50 level with little trading activity. The policy shift will be accompanied by revisions to auto-rejection limits for both equity securities and Infrastructure Investment Funds (DINFRA) on the regular and cash markets.

IDX officials will continue to evaluate the impact of the new minimum price and share their findings with exchange members and other market participants. The change reflects the exchange’s effort to make the market more accessible and efficient.
