Lewis family injects another £120 million into Tottenham, boosting its stake
The Lewis family has provided an additional £120 million to Tottenham Hotspur, raising its total investment to roughly £320 million in the past year.
Tottenham Hotspur received a further £120 million from the Lewis family, bringing the family’s total investment over the last twelve months to approximately £320 million after a £100 million injection earlier this summer. The additional funds increased the Lewis family’s ownership to about 88 percent, while Daniel Levy’s share dropped from 29.88 percent to roughly 27 percent after he declined to match the contribution.
The club’s summer spending included record-breaking fees for several signings such as Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, and others. Despite the financial backing, Tottenham have struggled on the pitch, failing to score in their first four Premier League games and exiting the Carabao Cup after a 3-1 loss to Liverpool. The team’s next league match is scheduled against Aston Villa.
Why it matters
The funding reshapes Tottenham’s ownership and finances amid poor early-season performance.
