Malaysian anti-corruption agency to serve asset-declaration notice to MIC deputy president and family

During a media briefing following the closing ceremony of the 5th National Conference on Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption, Abd Halim Aman disclosed that SPRM will issue an asset-declaration notice to MIC deputy president Saravanan, his wife and three children. The notice, authorized by Section 36 of the 2009 SPRM Act, obliges the individuals to file a declaration within a 30-day window. Recognising that one of Saravanan's children is currently studying in London, SPRM will allow extra time for that child to meet the requirement.
