Northern Mindanao police on heightened alert for martial law anniversary protests
Police in Northern Mindanao have been placed on full alert ahead of mass actions marking the 54th anniversary of Martial Law.
The regional police force announced a full-alert status to prepare for public assemblies commemorating the Martial Law declaration. Maj. Joann Navarro, spokesperson for Police Regional Office-10, said units are deployed to strategic locations to safeguard public safety. To reinforce local capabilities, 489 officers from the Reactionary Standby Support Forces and Quick Reaction Forces are on standby.
