Philippines' top tennis star Alex Eala lands in Japan for Asian Games
Alex Eala touched down in Japan and was welcomed by Philippine Olympic Committee chief Bambol Tolentino as she prepares for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The world No. 18 tennis player arrived at Chubu Centrair International Airport from Singapore on Saturday. Philippine Olympic Committee chief Bambol Tolentino greeted her upon arrival. Eala is among the Philippines' leading contenders for a gold medal in the continental showcase. She received a first-round bye as the top seed in the women’s singles draw and will also contest the women’s doubles event.
