Prominent Delhi figures, including LK Advani and Manish Sisodia, receive SIR roll discrepancy notices
Several high-profile politicians in Delhi were served notices for discrepancies in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, prompting promises of assistance from poll officials.
In the latest round of the Special Intensive Revision of Delhi's electoral rolls, the chief electoral officer disclosed that over 3.16 million voters received notices for alleged discrepancies. Among the prominent names are BJP stalwart LK Advani, his daughter Pratibha Advani and daughter-in-law Geetika, all flagged for "no mapping". Former AAP minister turned BJP MLA Kailash Gahlot, his wife Moushumi Mishra Gahlot and daughter Jahnavi Gahlot faced the same issue, while former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, his wife Seema and son Meer were also listed for name-related mismatches.
The election office pledged to facilitate the affected individuals and collect their documents. Additional senior figures, including Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Kapil Sibal, Subramanian Swamy and Arvind Kejriwal, appeared on the notice list, sparking statements from some about possible legal challenges.
