Russian drone and missile strikes kill four and wound dozens across Ukraine

Russian attacks over the past day killed four people and injured 78 across Ukraine, including a drone strike on a Kyiv residential building.

Over the past day Russian attacks across Ukraine resulted in four fatalities and 78 injuries, according to one outlet authorities. Early on Oct. 24 a Russian drone struck a residential building in Kyiv’s Obolon district, wounding two people and igniting a fire. The same period saw strikes on Chernihiv, where one man died and at least 25 were hurt, and on front-line towns in Donetsk Oblast such as Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, each causing deaths and injuries, including children.

Additional assaults hit Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa and numerous settlements in Sumy Oblast, bringing the total casualty count to four dead and 78 wounded. Ukrainian air defenses reported launching 126 drones, 61 jet-powered, and managing to suppress 101 of them. The surge in jet-powered drones reflects Russia’s increased production of harder-to-intercept weapons.
