Russian drones strike Kyiv region again, damaging apartments and warehouses

Russian forces resumed a drone barrage on Ukraine's Kyiv region, striking more than a dozen apartment buildings and storage depots for a second day in a row. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv regional military administration, said the raids damaged 14 warehouses, 16 private houses, three apartment blocks and 16 vehicles, while a follow-up drone hit a location after responders were on scene, a "double tap" tactic. The attacks killed one civilian and wounded two others, and forced authorities to advise people to remain in safe places and limit outdoor exposure as air quality deteriorated.

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed a hit on a warehouse storing Flamingo cruise missiles and rocket-booster fuel, a claim Ukrainian officials have not verified. The broader campaign aims to exhaust air defenses and disrupt civilian life, part of a larger effort to weaponize winter by targeting power infrastructure across Ukraine.
