Security forces surround Kejriwal's home ahead of CJP rally at Jantar Mantar

Delhi Police heavily fortified Arvind Kejriwal's residence as the Cockroach Janata Party planned a protest at Jantar Mantar, prompting criticism from AAP officials.

Ahead of a planned protest by the Cockroach Janata Party at Jantar Mantar, Delhi Police erected a heavy security cordon around the home of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. The Aam Aadmi Party accused the police of turning the residence into a fortress, saying the deployment would create fear among youth activists. Saurabh Bharadwaj, the party's Delhi chief, urged the government to engage with young people rather than rely on force.

The demonstration calls for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged vote theft. In response, the government placed a large security net across central Delhi, mobilising thousands of personnel to detain or deter demonstrators. The Delhi Metro also halted entry and exit at 45 stations from 9 pm on Friday until 6 pm on Saturday.
