Shivraj Chouhan ridicules Rahul Gandhi's claim of BJP's looming expiry
Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan mocked Rahul Gandhi's warning that the BJP’s “expiry date” is near, calling the opposition leader a “failed product” in a post on X after Gandhi’s Goa rally.
Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to X to deride Rahul Gandhi’s recent assertion that the BJP’s “expiry date” is approaching, describing the opposition figure as a “failed product” that never passes quality checks. Gandhi had delivered the comment at a concluding event of the Congress’s “Goy Rakhon Yatra” in Margao, Goa, criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the chief election commissioner, and calling for a Congress sweep in the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
He also alleged a “vote theft” scheme involving Modi, Shah and the election commissioner. Chouhan’s reply dismissed the claim as laughable, defended the BJP’s leadership, and asserted that the Indian public continues to trust the government’s handling of national challenges. He further invoked the historical defeat of the Emergency-era regime and pledged the BJP’s ongoing commitment to national reconstruction and welfare for poor, women, youth and farmers.
