Tuanku Muhriz Receives Loyalty Memorandum After Friday Prayers at Royal Mosque

In Kuala Pilah, Tuanku Muhriz led Friday prayers at the Tuanku Munawir Royal Mosque, joined by his sons Tunku Ali Redhauddin and Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin, as well as Undang of Sungei Ujong Datuk Klana Petra Muhammad Faris Johari and Undang of Rembau Datuk Sedia Raja Hassan Ab Hamid, before a crowd of over 500 worshippers. After the service, Dr Mohd Aluwi Sari, head of the Secretariat for Loyalty and Support, presented him with a memorandum affirming the secretariat’s dedication to upholding the royal institution, the state constitution, Adat Perpatih, the rule of law and peace.

The statement warned that any challenges to the monarchy should be investigated and appropriate action taken, urging political parties to respect the royal jurisdiction. The Attorney-General’s Chambers previously declared an April 19 proclamation concerning his position invalid for breaching Article 10 of the 1959 Constitution, and clarified that the Menteri Besar and State Executive Council lack authority to depose him. The Negeri Sembilan Dewan Keadilan dan Undang also reiterated that Tuanku Muhriz remains the lawful Yang Dipertuan Besar and council chairman.
