Xi Jinping outlines four-point plan for Middle East peace at BRICS summit

At the BRICS summit, President Xi Jinping presented a four-point framework for stabilising West Asia, stressing adherence to the UN Charter and the pursuit of a comprehensive ceasefire. He highlighted the Palestinian issue as central and advocated for a two-state solution to achieve lasting coexistence. Xi called on BRICS members to help rebuild mutual trust among regional states and to develop a new security architecture.

In parallel, he promoted deeper AI collaboration among the bloc and proposed an initiative to boost industrialisation through joint research and supply-chain ties. Finally, Xi urged support for a multilateral trading system centred on the WTO, calling for reforms and opposition to protectionist measures.
