Former FIC CEO to face two fraud charges in KLVC probe

The former chief executive of Felda Investment Corporation will be tried on two fraud counts before Judge Rosli Ahmad after SPRM secured prosecution permission.

A court session at 9 a.m. will see the former chief executive of Felda Investment Corporation stand before Judge Rosli Ahmad on two fraud charges under Section 417 of the Penal Code. The anti-corruption body Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia has obtained permission to prosecute the former CEO. On 25 September, SPRM chairman Abd Halim Aman announced the two charges and indicated that another former senior Felda manager will be charged under Section 420 later that Wednesday. The KLVC case forms part of a broader set of seven investigations—six new and one older—into Felda and FIC’s asset purchases and investments between 2010 and 2020, suspected of involving corruption, misappropriation and abuse of authority.
