Free-agent winger Jadon Sancho eyes overseas move after United exit

Jadon Sancho, now without a club, is said to prefer joining a foreign side despite interest from Premier League teams.

Jadon Sancho became a free agent after his Manchester United deal expired and is reportedly leaning toward a move outside England. Although Premier League clubs have shown interest, the former Dortmund player has indicated a preference for an overseas transfer. Borussia Dortmund, his former team, is believed to be one of the clubs monitoring his situation.

Sancho has been maintaining his conditioning by training with non-league outfit Flixton. He previously spent a season on loan at Aston Villa, helping them secure Champions League qualification, and another loan spell at Chelsea that ended with a penalty payment to United. The winger’s next destination remains undecided as he evaluates all possibilities.

Why it matters

Sancho’s next club will affect squad plans for several top European teams and his own career trajectory.
