Indonesia's subsidized housing program reaches 180,600 units, renovation budget expands
The government reports that 180,600 subsidized homes have been delivered under the FLPP scheme, while funding for the BSPS renovation program has risen sharply.
According to Kurnia Ramadhana of Bakom, the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) has distributed 180,600 subsidized housing units as of October 14, representing 51.6% of the 2026 goal of 350,000 units. In 2025, FLPP deliveries totaled 278,868 units. The government has also expanded the Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) program, allocating Rp8.59 trillion to renovate 400,000 homes that are currently uninhabitable, a substantial rise from the Rp1.02 trillion budget for 45,073 homes in 2025.
The Ministry of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP) targets 414,184 physical housing units, with the BSPS renovation component forming the core of that ambition. Officials say the renovation effort will make low-income housing safer and healthier while stimulating the construction sector and creating jobs. The Prabowo-Gibran administration marks its two-year milestone on October 20 amid these housing initiatives.
