Investigation links Fidesz operatives to controversial party-funded party-website scandal
A probe into a party-funded website reveals a night-time gathering in a rented Budapest flat involving several political figures and intermediaries.
Investigators claim a party-funded website was created to exploit a compromising scene from a party gathering held in a rented Budapest flat. The flat, occupied in August 2024, hosted Magyar Péter and Vogel Evelin, who later reported a consensual encounter and the presence of alcohol and a substance resembling a drug, though no consumption was admitted. Additional participants included an entrepreneur aligned with the Tisza Party, an Arab businessman identified as Abud, and an MMA fighter called Gida, who runs a security firm.
Intermediaries such as Kindlovits Máté and a close associate of Kubatov Gábor are said to have facilitated later attempts to monetize the footage, though no successful video emerged. The episode was quickly relayed to senior Fidesz figures, prompting further inquiries.
