PSD signals refusal to back Siegfried Mureșan's proposed cabinet

Former health minister Alexandru Rogobete will be a guest on a televised interview with Irina Petraru to clarify PSD's approach to the confidence vote for the cabinet proposed by designated premier Siegfried Mureșan. The discussion comes as the party's national council convened to determine its parliamentary stance. PSD president Sorin Grindeanu has publicly stated that the party will not cast a vote of confidence, criticizing the premier's lack of political and administrative experience.

In response, Mureșan has sent Grindeanu a document claiming that his governing program incorporates several social-democratic priorities, including energy, education, health, agriculture and infrastructure measures. Despite these overtures, PSD maintains that it will only support a government it deems truly pro-Romanian. The confidence vote is scheduled for a joint session of the lower and upper houses of Parliament.
