Rahul Gandhi urges nationwide march to Supreme Court on Oct. 12
Rahul Gandhi called on youth, opposition parties and civil groups to march to the Supreme Court on October 12, demanding an end to vote-theft, a halt to SIR and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar.
In a recent X post, Rahul Gandhi condemned the police and BJP-aligned attackers who beat peaceful demonstrators in Delhi, describing the incident as contrary to India's values. He announced that on Monday, October 12, youth, opposition parties, and civil-society groups will converge in a march to the Supreme Court in New Delhi. The rally aims to deliver a memorandum to Chief Justice Surya Kant, calling for an end to vote-theft, a suspension of the SIR mechanism, and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar.
Gandhi pledged that the march would be conducted with love, brotherhood and patriotism, transcending party lines, gender, caste, community and state. He also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat of attempting to intimidate the nation's voice. The protest seeks to reaffirm democratic principles and uphold the Constitution of India.
