Selangor May Delay Primary Religious School Exam if Haze Levels Rise

Amirudin Shari indicated that the Selangor state government and the Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) will assess the haze situation before confirming the Primary Religious School Assessment scheduled for next week. Current API readings in six Selangor areas are above safe levels, the highest being 188 in Johan Setia. The government’s protocol calls for school closures at an API of 200 and an emergency response at 300, with parents advised to collect their children.

To protect students, free masks are being distributed across the state. In a separate safety matter, Shari is awaiting an audit of risky drains after a child drowned in Puncak Alam and has asked the Kuala Selangor Municipal Council to act promptly.
