Ukraine launches large‑scale drone offensive as Russia steps up missile strikes on Kyiv and Ukrainian industrial sites

Ukraine deployed a major wave of drones toward the Moscow region, with Russian defenses reporting most were intercepted and casualties occurring in the Rostov area and on Moscow’s outskirts. Russia increased its missile attacks on Kyiv, where a sports centre was hit, killing a border officer and injuring more than 100 people. Russian air strikes also targeted Ukraine’s largest steel plant in Kryvyi Rih, killing two and wounding 14.
