CJP leader blames BJP goons for Delhi protest clash, expresses sympathy for injured police families

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, told reporters that the July 20 protest to Parliament was disrupted by BJP goons, leading to clashes that injured police officers. He expressed sympathy for the wounded officers while also raising concerns about students who were reportedly beaten by police. On the same day, relatives of four Delhi police members who were hurt during the protest met at the Constitution Club of India, asking that their side of the story be aired in Parliament, noting that public discussion has largely centered on police misconduct.

The families recounted the distress of awaiting medical updates and the impact on their loved ones, including broken helmets and injuries from stones and other objects. A slideshow presented by the families claimed over 250 officers were injured and listed extensive damage to police gear and vehicles. Dipke urged that habitual offenders be prosecuted and suggested a conspiracy aimed at deterring student protests.
